SUMMARY OF DUTIES / 工作职责:  

Under the supervision of the Common Services Officer, provides transportation, delivery and errand services, arranges for car maintenance, and provides basic administrative, maintenance and support services to the Consulate following established policies.

In order to perform the duties relevant to this job, the following experience is required.

  • 3 years cumulative experience in Professional Driving.

    • Knowledge of GPS systems and their application for navigation
    • Knowledge of safe driving practices, defensive driving techniques, and road safety awareness

  • Working with Others (Level 1): Working with others is required to participate in group initiatives and effectively work as part of a team.

  • Working proficiency in English
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Experience as a driver at an Embassy or Consulate in China

Operational Requirement / 工作条件: 

Operational requirements will be assessed on a “meet/does not meet” basis and can be used to determine right fit of a candidate for the position.

  • Hours of Work: Normal hours of work for this position are in accordance with Locally-Engaged Staff regulations of 37.5 hours per week.
  • Overtime: Willingness to work overtime on short notice

  • Ability to handle luggage of 25 kg weight

  • Valid work authorization for Canadian applicants: Ability to obtain and hold a valid work authorization covering the entire employment period.

  • Must hold a valid Driver’s License of “C1” or above and maintain a good driving record without major accidents and traffic violations
