SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The mission is seeking to fill a Senior Driver position for the common services program as well as various general services positions that may arise following this selection process. These positions provide transportation for authorized passengers; delivers and collects a variety of official documents and materials. Core responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensuring proper maintenance of the official vehicles, responsible for transportation coordination including itinerary planning and organization of routes and activities.
AREA OF SELECTION
This selection process is open to all applicants, who are residing and legally authorized to work in Indonesia, including Embassy employees, Canada-based staff spouses and their dependent children of at least 16 years of age, who meet all the essential qualifications and whose applications are received by the closing date.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Education
This position requires:
A Secondary/High School Diploma (or equivalent) from a legally recognized Secondary/Highschool or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.*

Experience as driver for diplomatic mission, international organization, multinational corporation or official driver for state level government agency
Note: Candidates will be required to provide proof of their education
Language
The Following languages and proficiency levels are required for this job. Candidates will be formally assessed or requested to provide proof of certification on these levels.
- An intermediate proficiency level (reading, writing, comprehension, and speaking) in English.
- An advanced proficiency level (reading, writing, comprehension, and speaking) in Indonesian Bahasa.
Experience
In order to perform the duties relevant to this job, the following experience is required.
- Three (3) years cumulative experience in passenger car driving such as driving official vehicle.
RATED REQUIREMENTS
The Rated Requirements are part of the essential qualifications and are relating to knowledge, abilities and competencies. Methods of assessment for rated requirements may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview (online pre-recorded/live or in-person), role-play, practical tests, presentations and/or psychometric assessment.
Knowledge:
- Practical knowledge of general vehicle maintenance
- Knowledge of the driving rules and regulations of Indonesia Knowledge of major city roads and landmarks especially in Jakarta and nearby areas

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Preference may be given to candidates who meet the Asset Qualifications. Where applicable, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet any asset qualifications.
- Previous Experience working with diplomatic mission in Indonesia
- Proficiency in basic computer software such as the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Operational requirements will be assessed on a ``meet/does not meet`` basis and can be used to determine right fit of a candidate for the position.
- Normal hours of work for this position are in accordance with Locally-Engaged Staff regulations of 40 hours per week.
- Willingness to work overtime on short notice.
- This position may require limited occasional travel domestically and-or internationally.
- Armored vehicle driving certification (provided by employer)
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Conditions of employment must be met or complied with before being appointed to a particular position. They are to be maintained throughout the employment period.
- Valid work authorization: Ability to obtain and hold a valid work authorization covering the entire employment period.
- Security screening: Obtain and maintain a Reliability Status (security level) which includes a criminal and credit background check from the Government of Canada.

The successful candidate must:
- Meet the employer’s medical requirements by undergoing a medical evaluation by a physician.
- Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license of the appropriate category to operate a motor vehicle in Indonesia.
