SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The mission is seeking to fill an Official Residence Supervisor position for the Head of Mission program. This position requires an expertise in managing an official residence. Core responsibilities include but are not limited to: supervision, planification, coordination.
Under the direction of the Head of Mission/Deputy Head of Mission, the Official Residence supervisor is responsible for overseeing the design, planning, and delivery of services for the mission’s official events and the Official Residence, including logistics, protocol, and the advancement of interests, as well as ensuring the development and implementation of the mission’s events policy.
This includes reviewing all event proposals, making recommendations to ensure their success, managing resources, collaborating with the mission’s programs, establishing contracts and memoranda of understanding, and identifying opportunities within the region.

- A postsecondary degree (minimum French baccalauréat plus 3 years) or a postsecondary degree (a 3-year university-level program) from a Canadian institution.

Language

- An intermediate proficiency level (reading, writing, comprehension, and speaking) in English.

Experience
In order to perform the duties relevant to this job, the following experience is required:

- A minimum of ten years of professional experience, including at least three years of recent experience (within the last ten years) specialized in organizing events and hospitality functions.
- Experience in customer service.
- Continuous supervisory experience, overseeing at least three employees over a period of at least one year.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Preference may be given to candidates who meet the Asset Qualifications. Where applicable, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet any asset qualifications.
- Training in hospitality, catering, or management.
- At least three years of full-time experience in high-end hospitality or fine dining.
- Experience in a similar role within a diplomatic mission, an international organization, or a multinational company.
- Experience in property management.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Operational requirements will be assessed on a “meet/does not meet” basis and can be used to determine right fit of a candidate for the position.
- Hours of Work: Normal hours of work for this position are in accordance with Locally-Engaged Staff regulations of 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Overtime: Willingness to work overtime on short notice, outside normal operating hours ( early mornings, late evenings, weekends, public holidays)
- On-site work.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
