SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The mission is seeking to fill a Driver / Chauffeur(e) position for the common services program. As a Driver, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of the mission, supporting all embassy programs through transportation and logistical services. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing safe and timely transportation for mission personnel, official visitors, and delegations.
- Supporting delivery and errands services across all embassy programs.
- Routine and preventive maintenance for official vehicles.
- Assisting with the procurement of materials and supplies.
- Supervising contractors, services providers, as required.
- Performing light administrative support.
- Taking on additional tasks to support the smooth functioning of the mission.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
All essential qualifications will be assessed. Methods of assessments and screening of candidates may include but are not limited to: verification of credentials, resume and letters of presentation; interviews, exams and practical tests; presentations or other types of assessments.
Education
This position requires:
- A Secondary/High School Diploma (or equivalent) from a legally recognized institution
- Must possess and maintain a valid permanent driver's license (minimum class B)

Language
The Following languages and proficiency levels are required for this job. Candidates will be formally assessed or requested to provide proof of certification on these levels.
- An intermediate proficiency level (reading, writing, comprehension, and speaking) in English.
- An advanced proficiency level (reading, writing, comprehension, and speaking) in Greek.
Experience
In order to perform the duties relevant to this job, the following experience is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of recent experience* in a driver role in Greece with responsibility for driving passengers.
* Recent is defined as within the last five (5) years.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
Preference may be given to candidates who meet the Asset Qualifications. Where applicable, candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet any asset qualifications.
- Experience in a driver position for a diplomatic mission or multilateral organisation.
- More than three (3) years of recent*, experience in a driver role in Greece with responsibility for driving passengers. * Recent is defined as within the last five (5) years.
- Knowledge of French
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Operational requirements will be assessed on a ``meet/does not meet`` basis and can be used to determine right fit of a candidate for the position.
- Hours of Work: Normal hours of work for this position are in accordance with Locally-Engaged Staff regulations of 37.5 hours per week.
- Overtime: Willingness and ability to work (paid) overtime outside normal working hours with notice and occasionally on short notice, early morning, evening, weekends and public holidays according to operational requirements.
- Travel: This position may require limited occasional travel domestically and-or internationally with compensation.
- Work requires driving a vehicle and sitting for long periods, and may involve lifting parcels, boxes, luggage, goods and / or equipment.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Conditions of employment must be met or complied with before being appointed to a particular position. They are to be maintained throughout the employment period.
- Valid work authorization: Ability to obtain and hold a valid work authorization covering the entire employment period.
- Security screening: Obtain and maintain a Reliability Status (security level) which includes a criminal and credit background check from the Government of Canada.
- Must possess and maintain a valid permanent driver’s license (min. Class B)
- Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying and moving luggage, equipment, furniture, heavy boxes, etc.
- Ability to meet the medical requirements as defined by the employer. Successful candidate(s) will be required to undergo a medical evaluation.
