This selection process is open to all individuals who are currently residing and eligible to work in India and employees of the High Commission of Canada and Canadian missions in India, who meet all the essential requirements stated below, and whose applications are received by the closing date.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates will initially be screened against the Essential Qualifications relating to education, language* and experience. Candidates must clearly demonstrate when applying for the position how they meet each of these essential qualifications. *Language will be assessed further during the process.

Additional requirements:
For the Human Resources Assistant position:
- A minimum of 2 years' recent* experience is required, including some experience using data management software to manage human resources data (please specify which software program you have used, including details about which modules/functions and for what purpose.)
For the Finance Assistant position,
- A minimum of 2 years' recent experience is required, including some experience using SAP, specifically the Financial Accounting module (please specify level of experience with SAP, including details about the modules/functions you have used and for what purpose.)
* Recent experience is defined as normally acquired within the last five (5) years
The Rated Requirements are part of the essential qualifications and relate to knowledge, abilities and competencies. Methods of assessment for rated requirements may include, but are not limited to, a written examination, an oral interview online, pre-recorded or in-person, role-play, practical tests, presentations and/or psychometric assessment.

Asset Qualifications:

Operational Requirements:

Hours of work will be 37.5 hours/week.

Be able and committed to working additional hours as required, and on short notice, during evenings and weekends.

Must be willing to travel domestically within India and internationally (if required).

The High Commission operates a schedule of public holidays according to a combination of Indian and Canadian dates, which means you will be required to work on certain Indian holidays.

The employee is able and available to work on a full-time basis in-person at the mission or mission designated location, which may include working from home on certain occasions.
Conditions of Employment:
Conditions of employment must be met or complied with before being appointed to a particular position and are to be maintained throughout the employment while being the incumbent of this position.

Valid work authorization: Ability to obtain and hold a valid work authorization covering the entire employment period.

Security screening: Obtain and maintain a Reliability Status (security level) which includes a criminal and credit background check from the Government of Canada covering the entire employment period.
